Future Mind® is your temporary learning organization - an innovative learning setting for leadership of the future. In just three days, you will work with others to build a company based on the Organizational Excellence model and keep it running under realistic market conditions. Your products and services must be accepted and bought by the market - just like in reality.

The simulator brings entrepreneurial challenges to life: dynamic processes, management behavior and decisions under uncertainty. In the "foggy quadrangle " - characterized by time pressure, complexity and incomplete information - your ability to act and your willingness to take responsibility are required. This is exactly where real competence development begins: outside the comfort zone, where leadership skills grow.

Future Mind® combines cognitive learning with emotional experience and personal reflection. This combination ensures sustainable development - and makes non-learning almost impossible.

What You Need to Know About Future Mind® ...

FutureMind® is designed for …

  • People who are open to new ideas and willing to critically examinetheir own beliefs, patterns of success, and behaviors.
  • People from all areas of the organization who want to deal with uncertainty, complexity, and challenging situations in a conscious and constructive way and gain greater stability in doing so.
  • Leaders and key personnel who want to shape the use of AI not only from a technical perspective but also in conjunction with sound judgment, responsibility, collaboration, and organizational impact.
  • Companies that want to specifically prepare their leaders and key personnel for future challenges.

FutureMind® is particularly relevant when developing new leaders, establishing talent and high-potential programs, or aligning existing leadership programs with the challenges of today’s realities.

The program also creates an effective development space during transformations, reorganizations, periods of strong growth, the implementation of new strategies, and changes driven by digitalization and artificial intelligence. It steps in where traditional approaches fall short and a new, deliberate path is needed.

FutureMind® is learning that you don’t just understand—you experience. It’s a temporary learning organization.

In just three days, participants build a company, develop products and services, and must successfully launch them on the market. Participants quickly find themselves in the “fog”: goals are ambiguous, problems are complex, paths forward are unclear, and consequences are difficult to predict. Nevertheless, they must make decisions, take action, and deliver results. Market reactions, team dynamics, and the consequences of their own actions become immediately apparent.

In this way, the simulator creates a complex, realistic environment in which mindset, behavior, decisions, and their consequences become immediately visible and tangible.

AI also becomes part of the experience. Participants experiment with different ways of using it and directly experience how AI supports and accelerates thinking, working, learning, and decision-making—but also influences or shifts thought processes.

Cognitive and content-based learning is enriched with concrete personal and emotional experiences. It is practically impossible NOT to learn. Learning “outside one’s comfort zone” becomes a reality. This reveals important future-oriented skills in the participants in a unique way.

Future readiness doesn’t come from doing more of the same. It arises when we step away from the familiar, try new approaches, and directly experience the effects of our thoughts and actions.

FutureMind® creates a safe yet challenging space for this kind of experience. In the simulator, personal beliefs, patterns of success, and assumptions we take for granted become visible—as do their limitations. This can be uncomfortable. But that is precisely where the opportunity lies: to rediscover oneself, to question one’s own patterns, and to discover new ways of acting. It is a space where people not only understand the new, but also try it out, experience it, and make it work for themselves.

Together with others, participants explore uncharted paths, develop solutions, and put them into practice. They experiment, reflect, try things out, fail, start over, and learn together. Successes are experienced, mistakes become insights, and the impact of one’s own decisions is immediately felt.

This gives rise to experiential learning that goes far beyond traditional training formats: individually and as a team, cognitively and emotionally, with a direct connection to real-world practice.

No right. No wrong. Just insight.

FutureMind® does not evaluate based on a predetermined ideal. It reveals what is, what works, and where growth is possible. It is precisely outside the comfort zone that the behavioral patterns people rely on in their everyday work life become apparent.

Neutral observation as a special, one-of-a-kind opportunity for participants to gain insight!

When people step outside their comfort zone, they fall back on behavioral patterns that are deeply ingrained within them. FutureMind® capitalizes on this by having participants observed by neutral experts throughout the entire duration of the simulator. This unique learning environment therefore offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to get to know oneself better in a safe setting.

FutureMind® is therefore not just training, but also the observation and assessment of participants’ future-oriented competencies. A detailed report provides a clear assessment of each participant and outlines specific areas for development to achieve a higher level of personal “future readiness.”

The program concludes with an individual 1- to 1.5-hour feedback session with one of the observers, based on the report.

FutureMind® is an incubator for future readiness!

At FutureMind®, artificial intelligence is not only the subject of learning but is itself part of the learning and development process.

Participants experiment with different ways of using AI and experience firsthand how it influences collaboration, problem-solving, learning, and decision-making. In the process, it becomes clear when AI opens up new perspectives and accelerates processes—but also when it leads to hasty conclusions, dependencies, or a shift away from independent thinking.

FutureMind® AI does not view AI in isolation as a tool, but rather in interaction with people, teams, and organizational requirements. As a result, participants develop a nuanced understanding of

  • when AI creates real added value,
  • when results must be critically examined,
  • how AI affects group and decision-making dynamics,
  • and where human judgment, responsibility, and reflection remain indispensable.

Future Mind AI thus not only promotes practical competence in working with AI, but also develops the ability to make informed assessments of its benefits, limitations, and consequences in various situations, as well as to shape the use of AI in a conscious, critical, and effective manner.

1 | Kick-off – 2 hours, virtual

Introduction to the overall framework, joint goal-setting, and time for open questions. Participants prepare themselves for the upcoming intensive learning experience.

2 | FutureMind® Simulation – 3 full days, in-person

Participants build a temporary organization, develop marketable products and services, and make decisions amid realistic uncertainty and complexity. They experiment with different ways of using AI and reflect on its impact on collaboration, problem-solving, learning, and decision-making. Observation, immediate feedback, and regular reflection cycles reveal the behavior, impact, and opportunities and limitations of AI.

Recommendation: Complete withdrawal from day-to-day business operations during the three days of the program.

3 | Transfer and Reflection – approx. 3 weeks after the simulator

Personal self-assessment, an individual development and reflection report from TMAG, and a personal reflection session lasting approximately 1.5 hours. A personal commitment statement supports the practical implementation of these insights in day-to-day leadership.

4 | Future Mind® Alumni Meetings – In-Person and Virtual

In virtual and in-person meetings, the Future Mind® community continues its open exchange on current topics, shares practical experiences, and gains new approaches for personal and company-wide development.

5 | Future Mind 2.0 – Leading for Future Readiness: 1.5-day in-person event

Completion with the “Future Mind – Leader” certificate

Self-reflection, curiosity, a willingness to learn, problem-solving skills, the ability to adapt to change and work in a team, and personal responsibility are identified in most recent studies as the key competency areas of the future.

FutureMind® is specifically designed to develop these competencies. What Remains—the Benefits

Experiential learning is embedded in a modern, evidence-based, and systematic leadership approach. Participants try out new ways of thinking and acting, reflect on their impact, and derive concrete insights for their day-to-day leadership practice.

  • Experimenting and trying out new ways of thinking and acting
  • Continuously and critically reflecting on experiences and their effects
  • Developing creative solutions and implementing them in practice
  • Using failure as part of the learning process and trying again
  • Learning from others and exchanging experiences openly and honestly
  • Realistically assess the opportunities, limitations, and consequences of AI and shape its use responsibly

In this way, participants expand their repertoire of actions, strengthen their capacity for learning and change, and develop a nuanced understanding of the connections between behavior, decisions, and their effects.

FutureMind® transforms experience into insight—and insight into effective, future-oriented leadership action.

FutureMind® strengthens your organization’s ability to anticipate the future and take action. Leaders and key personnel learn to provide direction even in the face of uncertainty, take responsibility, and make effective decisions.

As a result, your company benefits from:

  • higher-quality decision-making, even in complex and confusing situations
  • greater personal accountability and commitment at all leadership levels
  • more effective collaboration across departments and functions
  • early detection of dysfunctional behavioral and organizational patterns
  • greater capacity for learning and adapting to new challenges
  • a more constructive approach to mistakes, conflicts, and setbacks
  • New ways of thinking and approaches to solutions instead of “more of the same”
  • Direct application of insights to day-to-day business operations
  • a reflective and responsible use of AI in leadership, decision-making, and work processes

Through FutureMind®, participants act more consciously, make more thoughtful decisions, and assume responsibility more clearly—even under pressure and with incomplete information. They recognize the limitations of familiar ways of thinking and patterns of success, can develop new courses of action, and apply their insights directly to their day-to-day leadership roles and the organization.

The individual development and reflection report highlights strengths, behavioral patterns, and areas for growth—thereby creating a solid foundation for the targeted development of leaders and key personnel.

FutureMind® not only develops individuals—it strengthens the entire organization’s ability to effectively navigate complexity, change, and the future.
